Hossam Zaki

I'm an Interventional Radiology resident at Duke, currently completing my preliminary year in general surgery. I trained at Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School (MD '26) with degrees in Computer Science and Biology, and I build at the intersection of interventional radiology, artificial intelligence, and the infrastructure of medical education.

My interest isn't only in practicing interventional radiology — it's in building systems that scale impact beyond the procedure room. That spans clinical AI you can actually trust, tools that make medical training faster and better, and writing that tries to think clearly about where medicine and AI are headed.

I grew up in southern Rhode Island — fishing, hiking, and spending time outside. At Brown I double-majored in Computer Science and Biology with a focus on AI and visual computing, and found what I actually wanted to do: apply it to medicine. Off the clock I'm a coffee enthusiast and a slowly-improving self-taught pianist.
